Teaching at Koenigin-Luise-Schule

Koenigin-Luise-Schule is a German public high-school (Gymnasium) in the heart of Cologne. It serves about 750 students from 5th through 12th grade providing them with an intensified general education. The school's principal language of instruction is German, but students start learning English in 3rd grade. German teachers generally teach two subjects and all secondary grade levels, so a student teacher at KLS works with different age groups and with several cooperating teachers at the same time. German students typically have about ten subjects every year organized in a weekly schedule, so each day of the week is different.

We are happy to accomodate COST students seeking internships for English, ESL, Language Arts, French, Spanish, German and Social Studies. For all other subjects, speaking German fluently is essential.
