Teaching at a bilingual elementary school

For elementary education majors, a placement is possible at Cologne International School or at BilinGO, both bilingual primary schools.

At a bilingual elementary school, classes are taught in German (50%) and in English (50%). The German class teachers are supported by English native speakers so the students experience the English language as something used in daily interactions.

Daily work is characterized by differentiated and open learning arrangements to meet the individual needs of the students. Team work, workshops and projects are an important part of its pedagogical approach. Small classes and team teaching on a regular basis are keys for a high level of individual support and challenges.
